A Wild Idea is a documentary about Ecuador’s
proposal to fight climate change. The
government is willing to leave untouched their biggest oil reserves that lie in
a portion of the Amazon, if the world reimburses the country with millions of
dollars.
“If accepted, this proposal would contribute to
preserving biodiversity, avoiding carbon dioxide emissions, and respecting the
rights of indigenous peoples and their way of life.”
This film is playing at the film festival at the
end of the month and will be screening on Saturday at 12:30-1:00. There will also be a Q and A section which will follow the film. Please come to see how this wild idea morphed
into a proposal recognized worldwide.

ReplyDeleteI purchased a three-day pass for the film festival at $45. Something has suddenly come up and it looks like I may not be able to attend. Is it possible for me to get a refund?
ReplyDeleteI spoke to Gracy and mentioned that I will be able to attend only the first day. She said I will get a refund for the other two days when I come tomorrow. Sorry for posting all this here in your blog, guess it is not the right place really. Thank you.
