Education and Entertainment

Being a doctor, lawyer, teacher, astronaut, firefighter and policeman are all common aspirations of a young child.  Dressing up in costumes and imagining the unthinkable: saving the world from total destruction, flying in a spaceship, or chasing a bad guy to lock up in jail forever were our favorite childhood games and memories.  As a child, we have always been told to aim high and to follow our dreams.  Being young and filled with optimism fueled our passion to succeed in life.  Parents tried to diminish the fact of the struggles and hardships that come with the territory of fulfilling our dreams.  However, these difficulties do not make it impossible to achieve something great.

In the GTC docu-film, seventeen individuals from around the nation are in jeopardy of denial, anguish and terror.  Why would they do this--in order to prove to the world that they can be worth something?  In the pilot season of Show Me Your Talent, these exceptional and talented contestants relate to their communities that have high levels of poverty, violence, avoidable illness and intolerance.  These issues are becoming increasingly more common in the communities.

While they refine their skills in this competition, they become role models for other contestants and all viewers.  The idea of the competition is to be on TV and try to win the grand prize.  However, the main objective is the individual’s wish to succeed while being aware of the many obstacles that they need to go through in order to build a stronger community.

This competition strives to bring the best out of every contestant while making them active role models for the entire globe.  In a world that is submerged in shallow and selfish desires, it is time to make a change to reverse the damages already made.  We must get away from this status quo because it is a severe problem when a price tag is put on happiness.  We must change our focus to be on reconstructing our culture.  In order to achieve this change, we must rearrange and prioritize our life on the more essential things.

Education and Entertainment which is the newest Ted Unarce film follows these individuals as they work their way to the top of the competition.  However, they must be ready to face the many difficulties it takes to attain their dreams.

Is it worth the risk of rejection to accomplish a goal?  Why? Please let us know in the comments below.

  1. Part of winning is sometimes losing but winners know how to loose gracefully. We cannot escape rejection no matter what. It can even make us stronger.
